This is part of an information gathering exercise to explore establishing a local instance of the Data Conservancy and associated Data Management Services for our community. Data Conservancy is one of the projects supported by the NSF as part of its DataNet program that aims to explore and develop the cyberinfrastructure that is required to underpin future science. </div>
<div><br></div><div>You are invited to attend a general talk by Sayeed Choudhury, lead PI for Data Conservancy and head of the Research Library at Johns Hopkins University at 10.00 in Candle House (104/5).</div><div><br></div>
<div>There is a more technical talk for those who may be involved in the practical issues relating to establishing an instance of Data Conservancy. If this is of interest to you please let me know.</div><div><br></div><div>
There is an slot starting at 2.30 and lasting for an hour for open discussion of data-related services (such as data preservation, data management plans, preparing data for re-use). This will be a forum during which problems and opportunities can be raised. Again, if you would like to attend, please let me know. </div>
