One of my PhD students was awarded this fellowship last year, so I won't be reapplying. A recurring problem with this prestigious fellowship is that the award amount has not kept pace with the cost of a graduate student assistantship. So I have been beating the bushes to top up the fellowship to make it equivalent to a full fellowship.
