<p class="MsoNormal">Tracey Crago, the director of Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (<a href="http://www.falmouthvips.org/">VIPS</a>) asked me if I could reach out to you all to see if anyone was interested in tutoring Falmouth public school students.
As you might imagine, VIPS has had a lot of requests from students for tutors this year, especially from those students that are totally remote due to the pandemic. I’ve been tutoring one middle-school student in math and earth science (I’m not sure she was
fully prepared for my level of enthusiasm when she told me she was learning about tectonic plates) and it has really been a great and rewarding experience. It’s a particularly great opportunity if you’re like me and love to teach but haven’t been doing a lot
of that now that you’re a WHOI postdoc. Currently, all of the tutoring is over video conference (and I suspect will be for the rest of the year) so those of you not in the Falmouth area can definitely also participate if you’re interested.<o:p></o:p></p>

to stay engaged and on top of the workload. Technology issues, feelings of isolation or disconnectedness, and anxiety have impacted students who had not previously struggled. And for students who had a hard time before remote learning are falling even farther
