So, we are going to do another one. However, I'm going to try something to make it more like real life and less like zoom. I read a medium post (which makes me an expert now). The idea is to make many breakout rooms, and make everyone co-hosts. Then as a co-host, you have the ability to move between breakout rooms, and you can also see who is in each room.

Hopefully small groups that you can choose yourself will feel more normal, because how often are you having a conversation with 12 people all at once? We can also randomize groups of 2-3 people to start.

If you are interested in chatting with your fellow postdocs, experimenting with zoom, or playing quiplash, then come check it out! Remember, this is still a BYOBSSS (bring your own beer, soda, snacks, shelter) event.

Michelle & the PDA

Topic: Postdoc Happy Hour
Time: Aug 6, 2020 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Join Zoom Meeting
https://zoom.us/j/96429120094

Meeting ID: 964 2912 0094
One tap mobile
+17866351003,,96429120094# US (Miami)
+12678310333,,96429120094# US (Philadelphia)
