Dear Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Postdoctoral
Association,

We recently asked you to forward the below information and
attached flyer to STEM postdoctoral scholars and PhD students on
your campus. As a reminder, the application deadline is two weeks
from today. We would greatly appreciate you broadcasting it to
your networks. The invitation is repeated here:

We would like to invite your STEM postdoctoral scholars and PhD
students to participate in the New England Future Faculty Workshop
(NE-FFW) which will be held virtually on July 30th, 2020. The
NE-FFW is designed specifically for postdoctoral fellows and
advanced graduate students who are interested in an academic
career in STEM.
Northeastern University is committed to cultivating talent and
promoting the full inclusion of excellence. This workshop is
designed to serve those who are members of groups whose
representation in STEM education or employment is smaller than
their representation in the U.S. population. For example, this
includes women, racial and ethnic minorities, persons with
disabilities, first-generation students, members of the LGBTQ+
community, and those who support the efforts for a more diverse
workforce.

The NE-FFW is focused on the academic job search. The format of
the one-day workshop includes faculty-led interactive discussions
and peer-to-peer interactions. Workshop topics include: Finding
Your Institutional Fit, Perfecting Your Interview Skills, Making
Your CV Stand Out, Crafting Research, Teaching and Diversity
Statements, Negotiating the Job Offer, and more. To learn more
about and to apply to the New England Future Faculty Workshop,
https://faculty.northeastern.edu/advance/faculty-recruitment/future-faculty-workshop/.
To participate in the NE-FFW, there are several steps interested
people need to take: 1. Submit the application packet by June 1st,
2020
2. Accepted applicants will be notified by June 15th, 2020
3. Confirm their participation by paying a $50 registration fee by
June 26th, 2020

This unique opportunity is one they will not want to miss.
Warm regards,
NE-FWW Planning Committee
