We have a total of 9 folks interested, so it should be a blast! Bring your harness and shoes if you have them; otherwise we can rent them there ($4 apiece). They also belay with Grigris there (sorry no ATCs), so bring one if you have it , or they can be rented there also ($4 apiece). </div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br class=""></div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">If you’ve never climbed at this gym before, you will have to pass a quick belay test with the Grigri before you can belay. If you haven’t used one before they do offer belay instruction at an hourly rate…or another post doc can probably teach you :) Depending on the group, there might be several of you who want to learn to belay, which they can do for you there on an ad hoc basis. There is also ample bouldering available as well!
