<p class="MsoNormal">In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day,
join us to view the film “Mashpee Nine: The Beat Goes On” from
filmmaker and Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe member Paula Peters.<span>
</span>In summer 1976 a peaceful gathering of Mashpee Wampanoag
people was raided, and nine people present were brutally
arrested.<span> </span>The film documents the history of this
event and its repercussions as the community drew closer
together to support those arrested.<span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A member of the Mashpee Nine will be joining
us to discuss the film afterwards.</p>
