<p class="MsoNormal">The Postdoctoral Association will be hosting a Job Interviewing/Negotiation Panel next <b>Thursday,
February 16 from 2-4pm in Carriage House</b>. There will be snacks as well as
both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as additional enticement for you to
attend.<span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Format: </b>We will
discuss interviewing for the first 40 minutes, take a 5-10 minute
snack/stretch break, and then discuss negotiations for 40 minutes. The formal
panel will conclude at ~3:30pm, with an informal reception to follow to give
you further opportunity to ask questions of panelists, continue the discussion,
and enjoy drinks and snacks. Each panelist will give a brief perspective on
their experiences/advice on interviewing/negotiation, but the majority of the
time will be devoted to questions from the audience (i.e. you!).<span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It would be great if you could <b>come prepared to ask questions</b> to make sure that this panel
addresses the issues that are most of interest to you! If you have a question
you know you will want to ask but want to do so anonymously, you are also
welcome to send me your questions in advance.<span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">Note that although this event will
focus primarily on academic and research positions, we encourage folks with
all career interests to attend and ask questions. If there's interest, we could
also hold a separate discussion/workshop this spring on non-academic jobs.</span><span></span></p>
